; The Te Anau arrived shortly after five o'clock last evening from Gishorne and Southern ports. In conjunction with the Flora the Te Anau will run a weekly service between Dunedin and Auckland dur- _#*■*■ the summer months. Of the trip the

purser, Mr A: F. Gillon, reports :—The Te Anau left Lyttelton at 8 p.m. on October 30th, and called at Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne, leaving the latter port at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and arriving as above. Experienced strong westerly to northwesterly winds to Gisborne. thence strong north-west winds with heavy seas and rain to arrival.
