No work of importance was recorded at Riccarton this morning, trotting, cantering and steady pacing beinp allotted to most of the horses. Daystar, Haria and Skirmisher were restricted to the mildest tasks, the latter, however, galloping about three furlongs :> fast at the i_nish'^^^|f rounds. -■sWaiuku and" ' Efinicylycfotr were each sweating, the latter, -who looks well, galloping a mile well within himself in lmin 52sec Accompanied by Mountebank and Pitch and Toss, He worked in a bandage, but pulled up show? ing no signs of lameness. He, however^ has an enlargement on the - off foreleg. Leda and Britomarte and a number ef others were on the walking Hat. Strathbraan was trotting.
