KAISER.
The reef in the low level at this mine is now two and a-half feet in width. Some heavily mineralised ore from this lode was brought to town by Mr S. C. Mackay and forwarded to Mr C. Ratjen to be assayed. It gave a return at the rate of 6oz 14dwt of gold and 7oz Gdwt of silver, value per ton £27 16s.
MERCHANT OF VENICE.
Stone from the No. 4 reef in this Te Aroha mine has been assayed by Mr A. Jones with the following results .—From first three feet of driving 13s Gd per ton, from six feet £4 4s 2d per ton. No. 5 reef yielded lead 07 per cent. : gold, 19 grains per ton; silver, lOoz 12dwt Sgrs. Value per ton £1 4s od.
HAURAKINORTH RETURN
A crushing of 7S tons of ore from the three feet reef in the western face of this property has just been completed for a return of Gioz lSdwts of gold, value about £180.
