THE SHAREMARKET.
The improvomenfc noted in the Exchange yesterday continued this morning. Business was especially brisk yesterday afternoon, and several advances made were maintained, the market closing much firmer than it has been for some time past. Great Barriers after being- sold as low as 5s yesterday were dealt in this morning at 7s and 7s 2d, with further buyers at 6s 6d. May Queens also firmed, being wanted at 6s Bd, and Crowns at 235, while sales were made of Waitckauris at 36* Gel. Talisman shares had firm demand at 14s 9d, but no sa\were reported.
