A man named Richard Rowe, remanded from last Friday, was brought up to-day before Messrs Tierney and Rocklilt", J's.P., charged with the theft of a silver watch and «old ring valued at £4 10s. Accused pleaded guilty, and asked to be summarily dealt with. "He was sentenced to three months' imprisonment in Mount Eden with hard labour on each charge, the sentence to run concurrently.
