RISING SUN (OWHAROA).

(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.)

Paeroa, this day.

The low level tunnel is in 237 feet and passing through first-class ground, easily taken out. The contract price for the third hundred feet is 10s 6d per foot. The lode is expected to be met at about 450 feet in the Teutonic-Ovvharoa drive being put in from Sheen's Creek to the west, for the purpose of prospecting the western (section of the ground. The tunnel is in 40 feet, and is passing through a right class of sandstone for carrying a lode. The manager informs me that he surveyed the land of all the old Owharoa lodes through this pare of the Teutonic, and certainly the country being encountered is very encouraging.
