CITY LICENSING COURT.
Tnrc quarterly meeting of the Auckland City Licensing Bench was held shortly after noon to-day, at the Police Courthouse. Mr 11. W. Brabant, S.M., presided, and the othor members of the Bench present were:—T. T. Masefield, J. T. Julian, J. Patterson, and C. S. Wright. Sergeant A. Clarke represented the police. The following transfers of licenses of hotels were granted, there being no objection on the part of the police : — Caledonia Hotel, from Francis O'Dowd to William McManus; Thames Hotel, from John Hand to Elizabeth Luks : Central Hotel, from James Buck to Benjamin Charles Roberts; Railway Terminus Hotel, from John Snllivan to Alfred Parker ; temporary transfer of City Hotel from Catherine Kelly to Charles Reindhardt ; transfer of Thistle Hotel from Wm. A. Brown to Thomas. Enwright.
Thos, Braidwood, master of the steamer Aharoa, applied for a packet license for that steamer. The police offered no objection and the license was granted.
The Committee also .dealt with various necessary repairs in connection Avith a number of hotels i tithe city.
