INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES.

Wkllinoton, thia day. Ik the furniture trade dispute, several of the employers summoned said bhey had no Unionists in their service, and the Chairman said in that case they would nob be bound by the decision. The masters were unanimous in refusing to promise bo sivo Unionists preference, and objected strongly to the proposed proposition of one apprentice to fire men. It was mentioned that auctioneers were in the habit of getting men to knock up cheap furniture for sale, and some of the employers remarked that the moa would work all hours of the night at this work and all Saturday without complaint. The member a of the Bakers' Union hare pub forward the following demands:—(l) That the employers shall acknowledge the prior right of the members ot the Union to employment; (2) that eight hours constitute a day's labour; (3) that certain rales (20 to 24, inclusive) shall be embodied in the award of the ConGili&tioa Board*
