Brisbane, this day. A crisis has arisen in the Legislative Assembly unexpectedly. Mr Stephens, a membor, was called to ordor for accusing the Governmenb of bribery and corruption in connection with tho appointment! of a land commission, and, as ho rofusod bo withdraw tho words, ho was " namod " by the Speaker. The Premier was not in tho House at the timo. ©n returning, ho moved Mr Stephen's suspension, but tho House declined to pass >*ho motion. Mr Tozer then decided nob to proceod with business until a direcb vote wob taken on tho words usod.
The Houso adjourned till Tuesday, whon o lively debate is oxpeeted. The Government a,ro bolioved to havo a pood majority!
