CAMPBELL'S FREEHOLD.
Mr C. A. Wauchope. who recently returned to the colony from England, paid a, visit bo bhe Thames during the month. Regarding the iuecesfful sale of Campbell's Freohold, at Tapu, Mr Wauchope stated that he had no difficulty in placing the properby in London, bub thought it would be aome time before permanent operations wero commenced. Mr Wauchope left for British Columbia, via Sydney, where he has to reporb on a property for a syndicate he represents. TAPU FLUKE. ' An extraordinary meeting of shareholders in this Company was held at tho office of Mr W. H. Churton, 28 Shortland-street, when Mr R. 0. Young, Chairman of Directors, presided. The Chairman explained that the sale of tho Company's property to tho Mahara Royal Company, limited, was now completed, and the scrip of 6.750 fully paid shares in the latter Company was expected to arrive in Auckland early in October, The allocation to the Tapu Fluke shareholders would be at the rate of 165 per 1,000. Resolutions were then passed dissolving the Tapu FluKe Company.
