A BOY DROWNED.

A bot named Victor Parke, aged seven, was drowned in the Hoteo River, Northern Wairoa, on the 25th insb., while poling logs down the stream. The current overturned the log on which the boy was sbonding, and he waa awepb away by tha current, his bother's attempb to save him being unsuccessful. The body has not been recovered.
