ROBBERY AT KARANGAHAKE.
TWO ARRESTS MADE,
(BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
Faeroa, this day. At Karangahake on Sunday, the premises of Mr S, Frith, tobacconist and hairdresser, were broken into. Tho door was forced and tobacco to the value of £3, and 58 in silver, were stolen. Constables Harvey and Connor proceeded to the scene, and S9 a result of enquiries made arrested two men, A. McKnii and Con. Aubury, as being implicated. These wero charged at the Police Court today, bub a remand was B3k6d for. lam told the feeling of insecurity in Karangahake is such thab many storekeepers and others sleep with revolvers under their pillows.
