MONDAY POPULAR CONCERT'S.
Mb P. R. Dix had another crowded audience at his Popular Concern, given in fcha City Hall tasb evening, and fcho programme provided was an excellent one. The chief attraction was the first appearance in Auckland of Mr VV. B. Cadzow, who has a tweet and powerful tenor voice of pood range. Mr Cadzow created a very favourable impression, and each of his songs was onenred, Judo's "On Deck" being so well given that he had to respond to a double encore. As encores to this ho jrave "Molly Bawn" and "The Low Backed Car." and his second song was "The Pilgrim." This beiner encored, he sang Verdi's "La Donnae Mobile." In the duab wifch Mi*B T. A. Hargrave, "Ah Che La Morfce," Mr Carfzow, who sang in the wing, was also highly successful, and the item was encored. The other vocalists of the evening were Misses Hargrave, Gelston, and Messrs Fort and Tracey Hall, and recitations were given by Mr Alex. Smith. Miss Lily Thomson was accompanist. Mr Cooper showed some excellenb views of localities ia the British empire.
