Customs duties to-morrow will be removed from sugar, candles, kerosene, and other oils. Last evening Mr Lyne moved the adjournment of the Assembly to call attention to the alleged evil effects of diminishing these duties.

The Government accepted this as a motion of censure.

A long debate ensued, and motion was negatived by 53 to 30.
