Thames, this day. An impudent robbery took place aboub nine last night at Enwrighb's Wharf Hotel. Mro Enwrighfc, who waa in a room adjacent to the bar, hoi//d a sound in the passage, and going towards the door she discovered thab a tin box conbainiug money, which waa nailed on the wall, and labelled " Alms for the aged, in care of tho Little Sietera of tho Poor" waa missing. The thief made off towards the beach, bub was evenbually taken by Mr Enwright and another man whilsb in the act of opening the box. Mr Enwright, who felt some pity for the fellow deapibo his ecoundreliy .act, let him go, but the police took tho rnabtor up, and arrested a young man named Arthur Howiett, who appsared before tho Polico Coutb bhis morning, and waa fined £5, or in default, one moubh'a imprisonment.
