The animal examination of pupii teacherß and candidutea for employment u»der tao Board of Education, began to-day, at tho Wellesley-street School, under the direction of Mr Potrio, Chief Inspector of Schools. Examinations nro also being' hold at; Hamilton, Thames, and Whungarei. Tho tivstycar pupil teachers entered for examination number 24 ; second-year, 36 ; and candidates for employment, 112. The examination will laeb three days. Ab Messrs Samuel Cochrane and Son'e auction-mart to-day, an interest in a leasehold property in Symonds-etreet, with residence thereon, wee sold for £25, subject to a life-intercut held by the occupant, Mrs Ansonne. ; Wilson, McCullagh and Co.'a great winter sale starts on Thursday.
