A NEW GUINEA MASSACRE.
A PARTY SLAUGHTERED.
CooKTOWtf, Juno 28. News has been received here that a party olf men who were making their way through' the Vinapa track, New Guinea, and who had camped near a native village, were set upon by what is supposed to be a tribe of mountain natives, and were slaughtered. A police force was despatched, but had to return owing to the sickness of the leader.
