In the case of Mr Russell, of the Hanaard staff versus Cudly Bros., contractors for Petone drainage works, claiming £35 damage?, judsrmonb was givon for plaintiff with costs £7 14s. Plaintiff was cyclisg through Petone when one of tho defendant's trucks crossed the road without warning. A collision and both plaintiff and his machine were considerably knocked about. The Magistrate hold that tho contractors had to protecb the public by some Borb of signal. Tho case is one of importance to cyclists.
