Wellington, thia day. At preeenb there is iv Wellington Mr Leitch, of Melbourne, who is agenb for English manufacturers of motor cars. Bg expects to receive in Melbourne this month, or early nexb month, thirty different kinds of these vehicles. Amongsb them are carriages intended for fche conveyance of fire brigades and appliances. The prices of the vehicles range from ninety guineas to five hundred guineas. Several can are to be sent to Wellington, where an agency has been established. They should arrive within two months.
Mr John Plimmer, the father of Welling. ton, as he is familarly known, who was one of the earliesb settlers here, yesterday attained his 88th year.
