MoßioN-Vtmtx.—The croßscub to intersect bhe Rimu reef is in a distance of 134 teeb. A small leader has been intersected, and several silica and mineral seams showing in the face. York.—No. 2 drive is in 44 feet with no change in the country. Zonk.—No. 4 drive is passing through a good class of Randstone country. Albion. —No. 1 drive is now in a distance of 30 feeb in excellenb sandstone full of mineral veins.

Dapiine (Puru). —The men have gob on to the reef. So far they haregouo through six feeb without any sign of the other wall. Id is a large body of stone, and gives good proepecfcs when pounded. I will forward some atone from it for -testing:. Tfeero is another largo reef cropping oub on the northern end ot the ground, close on the boundaries of tho Kusßell and Morion. I gob come very good prospects from thie, and I believe ifc is the Russell reef. : Stanley.—Have put the mom on to drive on a largo lode eeven feet in bhicknase, which was intersected in tho waterfall crosscut in the early days, and from which prospects of gold can be obtained. "This lode is heavily mineralised. The crosscut to intersect the Mammoth, lode has been extended 14 feet;. The country pasfied through continues of a favourable character. Waihi South (May 3lat). —We have gob into first-class brown sandstone. It is all thate could bo desired for reef bearing. Ana expecting to cub the lode every foob we drive. The water is making freely in the face and top of the drive. We have driven tor the week 18ft, making a total of 300 ft. Sheridan.— The main low level crosscut has been in steady progress, boing advanced a furbher distance of 12fb. The country rock we are passing through is very similar in character bo that already penetrated. Total length of tunnel, 886 ft.
