KAURI GUM MARKET.
Auckland, Wednesday; Steady business has bsen done on thi3 market during the pasfe week, holders now experiencing less difficulty in securing full rates for good samples. There is also a slightly better demand for the American market). Supplies during the past month totalled 423 tons. This was an increase of 13 tons upon the previous month's output, but as compared with the same date last year shows a falling off ot about; 173 tons. For the two days of June 12 tons of gum have been received. Prices in Auckland are as follows :— Poor ordinary ... £28 to £30 Fair ordinary £38 to £40 Geod ordiaary... , £45 to £48 Superior ordinary ... ... £55 upward East Coast £67 Re-scraped ... «... ... £85 to £95
