The Union Company's new steamer Moaua, on entering the San Francisco trade, will be under the command of Captain Carey, who has beon in the Monowai aver since she was built. The Monowai will be placed under command of Captain Sinclair, and will take her place in the intercolonial trade, leaving Sydney on sth June, and will reach Melbourne about 20th June. Tho W&ikare, another new steamer, somewhat similar to the Monowai, was to leave Glasgow about; the end of last month, beund for New Zealand, and upon arrival she will enter the intercolonial trado, under the command of Captain John ■Anderson, formerly of the Mauapouri. The Waikare is a vessel of 3,C00 tons, with a pt-eaming capacity of about 16 knots, Tho New Zealand service from Melbourne will then be run by the Monowai, Mararoa, Waikare, and Talune, all large and powerful steumera.
