On turning tor home Waiuku bad about half-a---length's lead of Sb. Paul, and the whips were out on both. Waiuku in the centre of the straight struggled on gamely under puniehmoDb, bub the Aucklander stuck to him in a mosb determined manner, and at the half distance looked aa if ho would wear down the leader. Waiuku won by half-a-longt.il. Barshob was fourth, Sbrathbraan fifth, Sylvia Park and Marino pulling up were the lasb to pass the post. Time, lmin 4oßec. Totalisator, £1,291 ; dividend, £5 19a.
