Coromandel, this day. jiTtha Warden's Court yesterday special liaim* at Kuaotunu were recommended ac 10110. : — Kaimarama, Jas. Stevenson ; Nina, A. Benjamin. Six months' protection to Carnage G.M. Company, Great United, and Jubilee Extended ; permission to work tho Aorere with four caen for four months ; Modbl and Heather Bell, each two men for four months; Ladas, Elvira, and Monto Carlo (Coromandel), four men, three men, and two men for four months respectively. Protection was granted to the Cbadwell Hall, Royal Tintor, and Royal Victor Extended, each six months; Tandem G.M. Company, three men, four months. The Jumbo (Matarangi) case excited considerable interest and occupied tbe attention of tbe Court the greater part of yesterday as well aa a portion of a previoua sitting. The facts disclosed were ss follons; —McLean and Steele pegged oat two special claims in July last ill Kennedy Bay, embracing a new find made there. The surveyor appointed was shown the pegs by an unautkoriaed person, B_d_urveyed to them accordingly. Subeequently, one of the parties interested in tho claims ascertained that a mistake had "been made and the wrong pegs ehawn, and hepointed the fact out to the surveyor, who thereupon made a fresh survey. About tbis time other applicants pegged off the B.me ground and applied for it, lodging an objection to the original applicants on the grounds that they had been guilty of gross negligence or fraud in pegging an excessive area. The1 question before the Court! wis fo decide this latter point. The case Was adjourned for further evidence.
