Mr E. Bonnetb has only lately assumed charge of this mine. Ab prosontoperations are being confined to the driving of two levels for the purpose of intersecting the No. 1 reef at a depth from the surface, and at a poinb where ib is supposed it will junction with a cross lode running in- from the Golden Mount. Tho upper level will require aboub 30fb of driving to intersect the reof, and will give from 80 to lOOfh of backs. The lower level is in 15ft, and it will require about 40ft further driving to cub the reef. This level will give about 250 feeb of backs, and ib is tho intention of tho management to thoroughly prove the reef.at this depth. At the surface the reef is aboub five fsot in thickness, and the quartz is of a kindly nature, though intermixed with the country. There are other reots running through the ground.
