Thames, this day. Mr James Coctts has been appointed Mining Inspecbor for the Northern mining district!, vice Mr Gow, resigned. Mr Coutta was formerly mina manager at fche Thames, and before hia departure from Thames was in charge of the Victoria. Latterly he has been in charge of the T»it;*pu Gold Estates Company in the Nelson district. The appointment baa given groat satisfaction here.
