TE AROHA HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

The fourth annual Show in connection with Te Aroha Horticultural and Agricultural Society was held on Saturday, 27th February. The Show was a great success, over £30 being realised at the aatea and from rito pal« of members' tickets. The flock entries were nob numerous, but in flowers, fruit, vegetables, sind dairy produce there were a large number of really fij'&t class exhibits. The art; and industrial section way alao creditably represented. The judges, who gave i;i9!\ernl satisfaction, were Messrs H. E, Sharp and H. Ross, and Misses Wild, B. Lavery, and Goldaworthy.

The Show was opened at 3.15 p.m. by Mr VV. H. fcferries, M.H.ii., in tho absence of the President of tho Society. The Te Aroha braes bund, ably conducted by Mr C. H. Lawn, played selections of lively music during the afternoon.

A special vote of thanks was also accorded Mr F. VV. Wild, junior, the Society's Secretary, who is letiring on aeeouiv1' <>' having to leave tho dieu-ist.

At 7.30 p.m. a promenade concerb was held under the supervision of Mr W. E. Whiteiey. A potato peeling competition caused a good deal of amusement and resulted : B. Basketb, 1; P. Maingay, 2. Boot blacking (against time): P. Maingay, 1; B. Baskebt, 2.
