LONDON WOOL SALES.
London, January 19. The wool sales opened to day, with a flab market. Prices declined about 5 per cent. London, January 20. • Ab to-day's wool sales Charles Balmeand Buxton and Jacombe catalogued 9,629 bales. The selection was poor. There was a good attendance of buyers, but a dragging sale so far as competition, was concerned, and much was withdrawn. Good merino fell 5 per cent, and faulty 7i per cent, below the December closing rates. Crossbreds ranged from per to . per cent, lower, bub finest declined most.
