OPTION GRANTED.
An option has been granbed for the flotation of the Ptolomy property by an English syndicate. Tho terms provide a substantial working capital, and a fair portion of paid up shares to local shareholders. Tha local company have paid off their men, and the purchasers work the property from the Ist of January next in lieu of paying a deposit. The opbion is for ten monthe. Tha Ptolemy claim comprises 219 acroa, and adjoins the Whangamata Proprietary, which already belongs to an English company. News from the Ptolemy claim just to hand brings the tidings thab a big reof, 23 feet wido, carrying gold, has been cub near tbe Luck ab Last boundary.
