Katie.—-When 36fb of driviug was completed oa Aitken's reef the junction of No. 2 reaf waß meb with running south-west wibh two well-defined waits. The reef was BOvenbeen inche* thick, welt mineralised and in good country. The Empress Goldmining Company, which is driving on a fine reef running east and west, has come on gaod payable quartz. This reef I can tr<.ce over the saddle of the hill, and should be meb wibh in the Katie tunnel, aba distance of about 200 feeb of further driving. (GONTINUED GN PAGE 5.1
