WAIRI RETURN.
£13,059 FOR THB MONTH.
£132,649 FOR THE YEAR.
£12,315 INCREASE FOR THE
YEAR.
The return from the Waihi mine for tho past month is onca more a splendid one, £13,059 worth of bullieu being obtained from 3,030 tons of ore. This is an increase upon last month's return, which was £13,143, but as against that is the fact that there is a corresponding increase in tho tonnage of ore treated. It is the intention of bhe manager to clean up to-morrow for the amount crushed since December 12th, so bhab bhe output for the year will be still further increased. As ib stands ab present the total yield for the year is £132,649 as against £120,334 in 1895, being an increase for this twelve months of £12,515, and is £49,822 in excess of the total output for 1894. The value of the bullion obtained from this mine since 1890. is £487,362, while the total capital of the Company is £160,000, so thab there is a handsome margin for profit. The average value of the past month's crushing was £4 6s 2d per ton.
