GREAT KAPANGA.
The annual meeting of shareholders in the above Company was held on Nov. 30. Mr James Macfarlane presided. The directors' report stated that the sale of the property was likely to be carried out successfully shortly. The balance-sheet showed receipts £900 from sale of shares, and £516 0s lOd from calls, total £1,416 0. lOd. Tbe expenditure was £450 for the purr chase of tbe mine ; wages, £570 lis ; mine expenses, £247 10s Id ; general expenses, £128 3s, leaving a caah balance of £1,416 0a lOd. ROYAL OAK. A crushing of 25 tons of quartz from this mine yielded 1550z 13dwta of gold valued at aboub £466. THE ALBION SYNDICATE. The affairs of. the Albion Syndicate, which has passed inbo an English Company, were wound up at a meeting of shareholders on December 2nd. Tbe amounb of 'cash received was £2,000 less expenses and working charges, and the number of shares 19,000. It was resolved to pay £11 cash per share to the shareholders, which would leave a small balance in hand, from which there was a possibility thab a further dividend could be paid. The Company is now known aa bhe Hauraki Main Lode, and the mine ia being worked with three shifts of men.
