AUCKLAND COLLEGE AND GRAMMAR SCHOOL.
The annual distribution of prizes in conned ion with tho Auckland College and Grammar School took pace on Dec. 17th, at the Choral Hall. There was a large attendance of friends and relatives. The scholars were seated in the chorus-gallery while on tho platform wero tho members of tho Board of Governors, tho Headmaster and staff, Professor F. D. Brown, Mrs A. Boardman (Mayoress), Messrs Keesing and Biss, of the Old Boys' Association, and a number of other.. Sir O. M. O'Rorke, M.A.. LLD. (Dublin), Chairman of the Board ot Governors, presided.. Tho prizes consisted mainly of valuable books and certificates, co-ting some fifty guineas, in addition to which there weie various trophies, including watches, tennis racquets, etc., won in field sports and b«nnts tournaments, vvhich must have brought the valuo of tho whole to considerably over £100.
