Although transactions were nob numerous on tke Exchange to-day etill there waß a slightly increased number of sales as compared with previous days this week. l Juru shared changed hands at 4s 6d ancJ 4b 3d, while free sale 9 were mado of Hauraki North shares paid up at 4a 3a and contributing at 3s. The demand was due to a moeb encouraging telegram received from the mine manager thai specimen etone was being obtained. There was an increased number of buyers to day, evideatly the result of persons wishitsg to pick up cheap lines et present; bed rock rates with a view to selling at better prices as eooa as the holidays are over.
