DISCOVERY OF ANOTHER BODY,
HUNDREDS JOIN IN THE
SEARCH.
Sydney, December 6. The excitement over the Mountain mystery has reached fever height, owing to the discovery of another body—that of Weller. Hundreds joined in tho search ito-day, and during the forenoon two residents of Glenbrook searching in the gully a mile west of the town, came across ground recently disturbed, with twig* and stones piled on top, under tha ledge of a rock similar in many respects to the condition of Preston's grave. The party also found the pick with which the grave was evidently dug, and a magazine bearing Weller's name was discovered near by.. On the arrival of the police sufficient earth was removed to disclose the remains of a human body in an advanced stage of decomposition. One side of the fßce, however, was in a sufficient state of preservation to make the identification of Weller absolute. The victim had his' knoes drawn up under the chin, and the body had apparently been jammed into the hole. How ho came by his death will nob be known Bstil tho poet mortem examination to-morrow. One side of tho face beam the appearance of being crushed in.
A third man, named Lesah, ia missing. He went to Germantown, in tho Albury district, and ooareh is now being instituted there.
The Extradition Courb tneefea to-morrow to draw up tho Necessary papers witk respect to the arrosb of Butler, and Detective Roche will immediately after Bitting proceed to London te interview the authorities of the Foreign Office to have the documents pab in proper order for the oxbutdttien of the murderer, if arroßtsd. Constable Conroy, who very nearly decided to accompany Butiler in ene of his prospecting bourn, leaves by the A£iowera en rov.it to San Francisco in order 6o arrest the accused.
