WELLINGTON NOTES.
(BY WaKGKAFH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
Wellington, this day. As olaction day draws nearer the chances of the different candidates become a little more clearly defined, though absolute certainty will of course only be arrived ab when fche numbers go up on Friday night. The latest) speculation ab to the probable resulb of the poll for the Wellington electorate is to the effect that; Stout and Hutchison are eertaintie«,nnd that the third place will be between Atkinson, Frasor and Wilson. Fisher, it is expected, will not be far from the bottom of the poll. YVilford'g chances of capturing Wellington suburbs are considered to be huij.ll, and Hielop's roturn almost certain. I am told thab Copbain Pvussell's return ia nob at all certain. There has recently bcou a large access to the number of Mr Fraser's supporters, and ib is nob ab all unlikely that when Parliament again nieeta Captain Russell will not bo there to load tho Opposition.
