WESLEYAN METHODIST. DISTRICT SYNOD.
The ministerial session of tha above Synod concluded yesterday. A gpacial grant of £20 for bbc Hokiauga native minister was recommended for tho consideration of the Home Mission Commiteee. The Kor. W. Sinclair roported that the Freeman's Bay C.E. Society undertook to contribute £10 a year to a native agent among tho Maoris. Tha Synod endorsed tha request of the Pitt-Htreefc Church, to be relieved of one married minister. Mr Hud*on moved : *' Thac the Synod records its thankfulneea for the ruaasuro of prosperity throughout tno year, a.s evidenced by tho fitatisticaL returns, and unites in renewed consocratian to the service ot God." The Rev. D. O'DsDnell then addressed the Synod. A conversation followed on the work of the district. Prayßr wa« offered up by the ttav. A. Pefcere. Tho thanks of the Synod wore tbeu accorded te> the secrofcariosi, the preea reportora, and the press, tha Roy. J. Crump, procentor, and tho friends wh'.i had entertained the members ef tho district maering. The proceedings closed with the reading of the Journal, Binainj;, and tbo Benediction by the Chairman.
