Sib,—A meeting of the above Union was held at DargavUle on Saturday the 21sfc insfe., Mr Rowo presiding. A letter waa received from the Marerotu Liberal Association, asking the Union to urge the Government to nominate a Govorncaor.t caudidace for the Marsden Eleetorato, as they are nob aatictied with the present, Member, and have no confidence in Opposition candidate. The meeting decided that it was too late to ask a third candidate to take the field because it would ba impossible feo canvass the district in a proper manner. A resolution was carried unanimously recommending all Liberals to support Mr John Fawcus for the Cifey Election, and Mr Jackman far Waitomiita, as the meeting had every confidence that botli gentlemen would support the platform adopted by the Union, viz., —1.
