Sydney, November 27. The wool saieß, excepting for inferior sortc, closed firm, with an actiro demand, and prices aboub the sarno ns lata rates in Melbourae, where previous baying had been on the expectation of a 10 psr csnt. rise at the opening of tha Lasdon eales. Values have fallen about a farthing per lb.
Nelson Bros, received the following cablegram from the London agents today : —"The frozen meat market remains dull and flooded with cheap mutton, conseciuently there i« a farther decline in North Island mutton, but better qualities, such aa Canterbury and Dunc'in, remain at same prices. Latest auobatioas are : — Best Canterbury, 3id ; Dunedin, 3jd ; Napier and North Island, 2|d."
