TONGARIRO AGAIN LIVELY.

Taupo, this day. After a few days' comparative quietude, Te Mara again Bbowed greab activity thii morning. Aboub 9.30 a. m. a large cloud of dark smoke appeared suddenly, and gre* darker as ib ascended. Simultaneously the crater lake on the extreme height of the edge ef Tongariro threw up a vasb volßatt of steam, and Keterahi, another outlet, hat spouted too, which, wibh Ngaruahoe in the; lefb background, made an interesting quartette. These, backed by the snoffmantled Ruapehu, completed a pretty picture.
