MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
Cadmax.—The drive on the Cadman leader ir now in * distance of 19ft, and the lode still yields splendid proapscta, and seem* to improve as the work advances A ton of atufi from tbi? leader is being: got out for treatment. On Thursday iaat the A. J.C, reef was cut. It is five or six feet thick, and should turn out good etuff.
Pride or Haurakf.—At the low level the reef in the faca o) tti>; drive is improving in size, while the quartz looka very promising.
Ben'DlGo.— Good country continues to be met with in the low level. No. 3 reef is over 4fb thick, and heavily charged with good mineral.
La Mascotte.—No. 2 drive ia in a distance of 68 teat", and no solid ground yet reached. No. 3iain 53 feet.
Specimen Hill.—The low level is in 105 feet in good country, which prospects. No. 3 drive is looking well. No. 4is in 40 feeb on the reef. No. 5 is in SO feet on a nicelooking leader. No. 4 is in a distance of 50 ft ; the pro-pecCa are moro encouraging as we advance.
Scandinavian.—A abart ha 3 been mado to stops out the leader. It ia small in size, but prospects exceedingly well.
Tandem.—The reef is still two feet wide, and carrying very fair crushing dirt. Eastwards the reof is one foot six inches wide, and ttill carries good prospects of gold.
Maio»o.—The manager believes the big reef hag either dipped or split up, as the drive is nearly through the epur without picking it up. Wonojta. — Fourteen feeb have been driven on No. 1 reef, and the drive ia not through it yet. The quartz is improving in appearance. No. 2 reef continues to vary in width frntn nine inches to a foot.
Nestor. — Numerous flinty veins, are striking into the lead which has every appearance of making gold.
New Golcon-DA.— The leader is looking well.
Zealandia.—Two leaders each ebout nine inches thick have been cut, both of which look very promising.
.Plunger—Tho leader is of a most satisfactory nature and the country is good. A crosscut will now bo started.
Golden Hill.—The drive ia in lOßffc, and is still in hurd country.
Fouris-Hand. —The low level croßucufc is in 84ft, and ia penetrating favourable country. •
Fabolous.—The footwall portion of the lode is still carrying good minerals.
Golden Lead. —The leader at the low leval in lfb thick, and carries gold westwards. Tho crosscut at Paul's Creek is in 32ft. and has cat a mullocky leader lft thick, which gives _ fair prospects. A small leader four inches thick has been cut ia tha Great Triumph section, which gives loefe prospect 3of gold. A 4ft reef also gives prospects of gold.
Juxo. —Good crushing stone is boing got from the reef in the winz9. In No. 3 drive a portion or tha reef gives good dish prospects of loase gold. South-west tha reef is 2f6 thick and carries colours of gold.
Cop.oket.— The reef ia 18in wide and well defined.
Albert.—An asiay from the 15in lode returned at the rate of £9 15s 6d per ton.
Renown.—A large outcrop of quartz has been found on the north-east side of this property. The stone when pounded gave colours of gold.
Golden Planet.—The cousrry in the drive haa very much changed for the better, aa the sandstone is now of a first' class quality for gold or qnarlz to make ab any time.
Bunker's Hill,—The crosscut is in 308 feet from the shaft, and better country is showing. In the crosscut th 9 leader is not yet to hand. Colours of gold were seen in the quartz from JN'o. 1 roef nfc laßt breaking down. Goed progress is being made with sinking the reef, and the country penetrated continues of an excellent description No quartz wns broken down this week. Dhke of Argyle.—No. 1 reef looks well and maintains its size though no gold has been obtained from it> during the week. No. 2 reef is aboat a foot thick, being a well defined body. No. 3 reef: Some first class stone is coming to hand.
Ciiamtmon (Waiomo) —Have discovered an outcrop which gave tracos of gold when washed. The manager intends to put in n drive to ascertain whether it is a permanent lode.
