Bell, one of Tynan's associates, wbo wai arrested in Glasgow* was charged at Bowstreeb to-day with having contravened bb« fifth section of tbe Explosive SubstanceAct, 1873. A Government epy in his evidence made somo astounding revelations. He declared tbo prisoner had attended aecrob meetings of Irishmen in New York, and had joined in a plot against England.

The spy wbo joinad tho United Irishmen stated bhab Carvey, Tynan, Lyman and Bell were prominent officers of a secret associabion, He revealed secrets.and pass words, and forwarded documents to bhe British Government. The object of the Society, he declared, was to establish an Irish republic by revolution, and bha. large sums of money were collected to educate the dynamiters to assist in outrages'. At the meeting there were 600 delegates. Two Anstralia-na attended thq Chicai.ro Convention in 1895. 8011, ib ie said, l>ecamo acquainted with Tynan in 1882. The Government spy formed a camp in Now York and enrolled Mearns ana Nolan, who wero concerned in the ex< plosion in Dublin. Bell baa boen committed far trial."
