The annual meeting of the Industrial and Provident Permanent Building, Land and Investment Society waa hold yesterday afternoon. Tho report showed that interest had been credited investing members' accounts ab tho rate of six per cent, per annum. A special meeting of shareholders was afterwards held, when it was decided to give effect to the following resolutions concerning the reduction of the scale of repayments : —For ten yoara, Is 2d per sharo instead of la 3d ; eight) year?, Is 4d instead of la 5d : seven years, Is 6d instead of Is 7d : six year?, Is 8d instead of le 91 ; five years, Is lid instead of 2s ; four years, 2s 3d instead of 2s 4d. Rule 72 was also altered by substituting " May" in placoof " Juno," and bo equalising the halfyearly meetings.
