Ngaruawahia, thia day. At the ordinary quarterly mooting of the Raglan County Council, this aubjecb was brought forward by Councillor Whiteside, who, after speaking ab some length on the matter, moved the following resolution, " Thab ib is the opinion of this Committee that, in view of the increasing traffic over the Waikato River at Tuakau, for which a punt is wholly inadequate, and the large area of country occupied by Crown tenants and the Government land to be disposed of thab Parliament be respectfully requested to place a sufficient cum of money on the estimatea this session for the construction of this obviously colonial work This was eeconded hy Mr McGuirk and carried unanimously. Ib was decided to forward thia resolution to the Government at once.
