A sale of Crown lands was held to-day at the Governmenb-Lands Office, Customsstreeb, lobs totalling 259 acres being oflered for sale. Mr W. C. Kensington was tbe auctioneer. A small allotment of 31 perches in bhe town of Russell was sold for £21 to J. S. Clendon. An allotment of 2 roods 7 perches in Porb Alberb was boueh. by Helen loger for £1 13s, and another of 1 rood 37 perches was knocked down to Mrs Margaret Inger for £1 Bs. The latter also purchased five obher secbions in the village of Albertown for a tobal of £7 3s 6d. Five acres near Panmure were boughb by R. Hathaway, junr., for £15, and anobher lob of seven acres was sold bo J. Finnerby for £21. Mrs G. Armstrong purchased 8 acres near the Wade village for £16. A section of 3 acres and 30 perches, with house, at Oruawharo, Rodney county, was Bold to Mrs M. M. Jones for £3 ss, upsob price, subjecb bo £100 for house, fence, etc. Several bush lobs ab Hokianga were passed in.
