The markeb did nob maintain the improved condibion of affairs referred to yesterday. Business was quiet bo-day, cheaper sbocka being almosb entirely neglected, with the exception of Germanics, which shares advanced from lid to Is 2d. High priced stocks maintained their value. Buyers of Waihi - Silvertona advanced their offers to 535, no doubb, in anticipation of bhe declaration of a dividend.
