Yesterday afternoon after we wont to press a defended case E. J. West Lake v. M. Lynch and wife, waa heard in »•» Magistrate's Court before the S.M., »r Northcroft. The plaintiffs, Mrs Weetla_e, a storekeeper in Karangahape Road, ana her husband, were heard in support ol tne claim, and the plaintiff was then nonsuit* 0 with costs in favour of defendants. Mr J. W. Gittos appeared for plaintiff^and Wr Laishley for defendants. The following caßes were disposed of to-day :—B. » q™° v. J. Stanley, claim £2 17-. Older made lor paymenb. Mrs G. Campbell v. M» Lindsay, claim lis. Judgmenb given ior plaintifi for lis and cosbs 6s. A meeting of plumbers was held in the Foreabera' Hall, lasb nighb, for tbe purpose of forming a Plumbers' Union. There were aboub 22 presenb, and Mr F. Wright was Chairman. After the opinion of those presenb was taken, ib was decided that H»ey should give in bheir names as members.^ A Commibbee was formed to waib on otber branches of the trade to see if it waa P"" 561*" able to geb them to join, and also bo drain rules for the guidance^ bhe Union.
