AUCKLAND BROKERS' ASSOCIATION.
(To the Editor.)
Sib, — Considerable dissatisfaction exists among persons interested in mining] more especially thotsa who have invested in many of the compani6u recently, and still being, floated, at the charge of five guineas made by the Auckland Brokers' Association^ for quoting the scosk on their board, as it i» considered mono unreasonable and uncalled for. One would naturally suppose thai they would bo only too pleased to quote the stock of row companies. I am pleaied «o notice fchab the Associated Brokers Association post quotations of all new now companies free of charge, and give every faeiliby, and thoroughly deserve the hearby support which the general public are according them for their liberality. If the other Association wish to retain the support of the public they will abolish this iniquitous charge without delay, «s those interested in formation of new companies are beginning fco notice that come hundreds of pounds (which should have gone to develop the ground) have been diverted by this means and scooped into the coffers of the Brokers' Association. Surely the heary commission charge should amply recompense without this extortionate imposition. Why is ib made, and for what purpose! « it to pay for their new Exchange ? Because if many,.more companies are floated it will give a handsome lift towards it. But w»N the public pub up with it? Trusting you will insert this letter to remedy a "wrong that needs resistance."—l am, etc., INV£STOB.
