Athens, July 14. In the Cretan Assembly, the Christians demand a modification of the Haleppa Convention. The Moslems are opposing any restoration of rights, and the insurgents who are armed are awaiting the decision of the Porte The situation is regarded as alarming, as. the Turkish soldiery appear desperate. •' •• ;
