Stdney, July 3,

Recently the Joint Stock Bank submitted a scheme to deferred deposit holders pro 1. posißg to pay off ten shillings in the £ of such deposits, and a new issue of new deposits for the balance repayable in 1906 bearing throe per cent interest. It was proposed to deal with one million of deposits, but the response only came up to £800,000. The Bank in July next will therefore pay off £400,009 and issue new depots to a similar amount.
